After an amazing decade of downloads, installs, and upgrades, WordPress is finally turning 10 years old!

It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed, but even still, it’s harder to believe that WordPress has made such leaps and bounds in such a short amount of time.

From its humble beginnings as a simple blog platform in 2003

To a fully-featured powerful web framework in 2013

WordPress has risen to become the most popular Content Management System (CMS), rivaling the previous big names: Drupal, Joomla, and more. In just 10 years, WordPress has been re-invented and improved upon by an open source community that truly dedicates all of its time and effort towards improving the web for both developers and users.

Congratulations to the entire WordPress team, and all of those who contribute to WP core, WP plugins, and more. It’s an honor working with such great people with such an innovative platform. Can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring!
